Ditec supplier, installation & repair in Abu Dhabi

Supplied, installed, serviced and repaired by Qasar Al Neil Automatic Doors.

Ditec is an Italian automation brand that belongs to ASSA ABLOY. Its range covers gate operators, operators for sectional and overhead garage doors, industrial door automation and pedestrian door automation. Qasar Al Neil Automatic Doors installs, repairs and maintains Ditec systems in Abu Dhabi and across Abu Dhabi, as an independent service company with no link to the manufacturer.

Ditec automatic sliding door repair

Ditec pedestrian operators drive sliding doors in shops, clinics, offices and lobbies. A sliding door that does not open, opens slowly or closes on people is usually down to one of these:

  • Presence and motion sensors: a dirty or misaimed sensor above the door stops detection.
  • Belt, carriages and rollers: a worn belt or flat rollers cause grinding and jerky travel.
  • Encoder or control unit: the door loses its position and cannot learn its travel.
  • Power supply and battery: a weak supply makes the door slow or restart.

Our automatic sliding glass doors page explains the door type, and the doors service page covers the rest of the entrance range.

Ditec garage and industrial door operators

For sectional and overhead doors, Ditec makes operators that run along a rail or sit on the shaft of a larger door. We check the limit switches or encoder, the balance of the door, the safety edge and the photocells. Industrial and warehouse doors see more cycles, so rollers, cables and the motor brake get closer attention. Related pages include automatic sectional garage doors and high-speed doors.

Ditec gate operator and remote faults

On sliding and swing gates the faults are the familiar ones: worn pinions, loose arms, failed limit settings and blocked photocells. Remote handsets lose range or stop working, and receivers need their memory checked. See automatic sliding gates for more.

Ditec installation and maintenance

A new installation starts with a site visit: opening width, door weight, traffic and the power supply. We choose the operator to match, fit it, set travel and force and test every safety device. A maintenance visit checks sensors, drive belts and rollers, brake and limit settings, the control unit, the emergency opening and the remotes.

Dust on sensors and sand in tracks are the two things we find most often in the UAE, and both are simple to fix when caught early. If you want to compare other ranges, see BFT and dormakaba. Book a free site visit and we will inspect the operator, the door and the sensors together.

Ditec service, frequently asked questions

My Ditec automatic sliding door does not open when people approach. What should I check?

Start with the sensor above the door: wipe the lens, check it has not been knocked out of position and look for new signage or decoration that blocks its view. Then check whether the door is stuck in a locked or night mode on its selector switch. If both are fine, the fault may be a failed sensor, a loose cable or a control unit that has lost its learned travel. A door that opens on a manual push but not on detection almost always points to the sensor or its wiring.

Why does my Ditec garage door operator stop before the door is fully open or closed?

An operator that stops short is reading its limits in the wrong place or sensing resistance. Causes include a changed door balance after a spring change, a worn drive part that slips, a limit switch or encoder that has moved, or something resting on the door track. We run the door by hand first, then reset the travel and force and test the safety reversal. If the operator has a memory fault, a control board may need replacing, and we will tell you before work begins.

What does servicing a Ditec industrial or sectional warehouse door involve?

We inspect cables, drums, springs, rollers and panels, then test the operator, brake, limit switches and the safety edge or photocells. High-traffic doors are checked for loose fixings and worn hinges, which cause noise and misalignment. The control unit is inspected for dust and moisture, and the emergency release and manual operation are tested. Warehouses that run many cycles each day benefit from regular visits because small wear becomes a breakdown under heavy use.

My Ditec gate remote stopped working. Is it the battery or the receiver?

Try the battery first and test a second handset if you have one. If the second handset works, the first is faulty or has lost its memory. If none work, the receiver may have failed, lost its memory or lost power, or its aerial may be damaged. We test the handsets and receiver on site and replace what is faulty. Please do not buy a random handset online, as radio types differ and compatibility has to be confirmed against your receiver.

How do I book a site visit in Abu Dhabi?

Send us a WhatsApp message or use the quote form with your location and the door or gate type. We will then arrange a site visit to measure and advise.

Include the area, such as Al Khalidiyah, Saadiyat Island or Al Reem Island, plus photos and approximate dimensions if you have them. During the visit we check structure, power and access, then follow with a written quotation. You can also call +971 50 494 8667. Browse our gates and automatic doors first.

Do you provide annual maintenance contracts in Abu Dhabi?

Yes, we provide annual maintenance contracts in Abu Dhabi for automatic doors, gates, shutters and barriers. Plans cover scheduled inspections, sensor calibration, lubrication and priority breakdown support.

A contract suits shops in Al Khalidiyah and Al Nahyan, apartment buildings in Saadiyat Island and warehouses in the industrial areas, where downtime costs money. Tell us what you have installed and how heavily it is used, and we will propose a plan. See our automatic doors and rolling shutters.

Do I need a site survey before installation?

Yes, a site survey is strongly recommended before installation. It checks dimensions, structure, headroom, power, drainage and access so the right model is quoted and surprises are avoided.

Qasar Al Neil Automatic Doors can visit your site in Abu Dhabi to confirm details. Photos and measurements help, but a visit catches issues such as uneven ground or weak posts. The survey also lets us recommend safety devices and access control. Contact us to arrange one for your gate or door.

What power supply do automatic gates and doors need?

Most residential operators run on a 230 V single-phase supply on a dedicated, protected circuit, while heavy industrial units use 380 to 415 V three-phase. Low-voltage 24 V operators are common for added safety.

Cable size, distance from the mains and earthing all matter, and a qualified electrician should complete the supply. Solar or battery backup is an option where mains is far away. We confirm power needs during the survey for your gate or garage door.
