Life, trading as LIFE Home Integration, is an Italian company in the Treviso area that produces gate automation, garage door motors, sliding and swing gate motors, boom barriers and shutter automation, along with sectional and up-and-over door motors. Its production is stated to take place at its premises in Treviso. Qasar Al Neil Automatic Doors installs, repairs and maintains Life systems in Abu Dhabi.
On Life sliding and swing gate motors we see the same failures as on any operator: stalling from rack dirt, a leaf that stops short, a board that does not respond, or a lamp that flashes with no movement. We begin by moving the gate manually to separate mechanical stiffness from an electrical fault.
Life also makes motors for sectional and up-and-over garage doors. Door motors depend on a balanced door, so we check springs, rollers and tracks before the motor. A drive that lifts a door that is out of balance wears quickly. See sectional doors and doors.
Life accessories include photocells, flashing lamps and release devices. These matter for safety: a blocked photocell stops closing, and a failed release can leave a gate locked. We test the board inputs, clean and align sensors, and check the receiver and remotes. Read more on control panels, photocell safety sensors and remote controls and receivers.
For a new Life installation we check weights, lengths and post strength first. Servicing includes lubrication, wheels or hinges, rack and pinion, release, limits, supply and an obstruction test.

View detailsThe board is awake but something is stopping it. The most common cause is an open safety input: a photocell that is blocked, dirty or knocked out of line, or a safety edge that has been pressed. Another cause is a release that has been left disengaged.
Wipe the photocell lenses and check the release is locked. If the problem remains, a technician will test each input on the board to find which circuit is open and fix that, rather than bypassing safety devices.
A garage door motor should only guide the door, not carry its full weight. If the springs have weakened or broken, or the rollers and tracks have seized, the motor strains and may stop or overheat. Try lifting the door by hand with the motor released: it should feel light and stay in place at mid height.
If it does not, the door balance is the first repair. We check springs, rollers and tracks before testing the motor and settings.
In most cases yes, as long as the control unit has a photocell input. Photocells are an important safety device because they stop the gate closing on a person or car. We check the board, run the cable, mount the sensors at a suitable height and align them, then test that the gate reverses when the beam is broken.
If the control unit lacks an input, we may need to discuss a board replacement.
Rattling or clicking is often a loose motor mount, a pinion that is not engaging the rack evenly, or a gate wheel that is damaged. A dry gearbox produces a different, more grinding sound. Sand in the rack also makes a gritty noise.
We find where the noise comes from by running the gate slowly, then tighten, lubricate or adjust the part. Where a pinion or wheel is worn, replacing it protects the motor.
Know how the fault appears: no movement, stopping partway, noise, or a remote that does not respond. Have the remotes, any wall switch and, if possible, the date of installation. A photo of the motor label and control box helps us bring suitable parts.
Keep the gate path or garage clear, and tell us if the gate is linked to an intercom or alarm so we can test it properly.
Send us a WhatsApp message or use the quote form with your location and the door or gate type. We will then arrange a site visit to measure and advise.
Include the area, such as Al Khalidiyah, Saadiyat Island or Al Reem Island, plus photos and approximate dimensions if you have them. During the visit we check structure, power and access, then follow with a written quotation. You can also call +971 50 494 8667. Browse our gates and automatic doors first.
Yes, we provide annual maintenance contracts in Abu Dhabi for automatic doors, gates, shutters and barriers. Plans cover scheduled inspections, sensor calibration, lubrication and priority breakdown support.
A contract suits shops in Al Khalidiyah and Al Nahyan, apartment buildings in Saadiyat Island and warehouses in the industrial areas, where downtime costs money. Tell us what you have installed and how heavily it is used, and we will propose a plan. See our automatic doors and rolling shutters.
Yes, an automatic gate can run on solar power. A low-consumption operator paired with a solar panel and battery works reliably in sunny UAE conditions, which helps at farms, rest houses and remote compounds without mains nearby.
The system is sized for gate weight, number of daily cycles and accessories such as intercoms, so a heavy or busy gate needs a larger panel and battery. Panels need regular cleaning of dust. Ask us to size a solar kit for your sliding gate or swing gate.
