تفاصيل الإصلاح ←القطع التي نصلحها ونستبدلها:
An arm that stays down can have a power fault, a failed control board, a motor problem or a limit switch that is out of position. A loop detector or safety input that is still reading as occupied can also hold the arm. We check power first, then the board indicators, the loop and photocell signals and the mechanism. If the arm is jammed by a bent mounting or a stiff pivot, we free it and inspect the springs.
Stop using the lane and call a technician. A barrier that closes on a vehicle usually has a faulty or misaligned safety device, such as a photocell or loop detector, or a loop that has failed. We test the loop and photocell, check the detector settings and confirm that the barrier reverses on obstruction. Do not bypass safety devices to keep the lane running, because that exposes vehicles and people to risk.
If the reader accepts a card but the arms stay locked, the cause is often the release signal between reader and turnstile, a faulty control board or a blocked lane sensor. Bent arms, worn bearings and debris in the mechanism can also stop movement. We check the signal, test the board and sensors, and inspect the mechanism. The emergency release is tested before we finish.
Bouncing or drifting usually means the balance is wrong. Springs lose tension over many cycles, an arm may have been changed to a different length, or a fitting such as a light strip or skirt adds weight. Worn pivots also contribute. We check the spring tension, the arm weight and the mounting, then readjust the balance and travel. A badly balanced arm strains the motor and gearbox, so it is worth fixing early.
Tell us which lanes have problems and when they appear, for example only in heavy traffic or after rain. Arrange a time when a lane can be closed briefly, and let security staff know. Have access to the controller cabinet and any ticket or reader units on the lane. If you have the model plate details of the barrier, note them down so we can check the setup before arrival.
A boom barrier arm that has been hit by a vehicle is usually bent rather than fully broken, and a mild bend in an aluminium or fibreglass arm can sometimes be straightened. A sharp bend, a crack, or damage near the mounting bracket is a safety risk and the arm should be replaced rather than repaired.
We also check the barrier's mechanism and counterweight spring after any impact, since a bent arm can throw off the balance even if the arm itself still looks usable.
A correctly installed turnstile is fail-safe. In a power cut or on a fire alarm signal, the arms or flaps release so people can walk out. Some models drop the arms, others unlock the rotor.
Qasar Al Neil Automatic Doors tests this release at handover and during servicing.
A tripod turnstile is compact and fine indoors where staff are present. A full-height turnstile cannot be climbed over, so it suits unattended or outdoor sites. The choice follows from the risk and the setting.
