Can the motor be replaced without replacing the whole rolling shutter?

Often yes. If the curtain, the guides and the barrel are in good condition, a new tubular or side motor can be fitted and set up. We check that the shutter moves smoothly by hand first, because a stiff shutter will overload any new motor.
