A fire integrated shutter is an automatic rolling shutter connected to the building fire alarm, so it closes (or opens an escape route) when the alarm is raised. It is not the same as a fire rated shutter, which is certified to resist fire for a set time. Many openings need one or both, as set by the fire consultant and Civil Defence.
