The board is sensing an obstruction or a safety trigger at the end of the close cycle. A photocell that is knocked out of line, dirty or wired loosely is the first suspect. A force setting that is too low, or a gate that binds slightly at the end of travel, can also cause it.
We check the sensors, wiring and force setting, then move the gate by hand to feel for stiffness. Fixing the cause is better than turning the sensitivity down.
